Art and technique of manufacturing shaped objects starting from incoherent clay minerals. After drying, they are made resistant by cooking in special ovens. Depending on the starting materials and manufacturing methods, they take the names of bricks, terracotta, majolica, earthenware, stoneware, porcelain.
